Vanishing West Ciders Cares
At Vanishing West Ciders, we believe in coming together to support our community during times of crisis. Recent wildfires in California have caused devastating losses, impacting families, wildlife and the environment. As part of our commitment to making a difference, we are taking action to support wildfire relief efforts and raise awareness for the resilience of affected communities.
Our owner, Heather, was born and raised in Altadena, California. The Eaton Fire has devastated her to her core, as the backdrop of her childhood was gone in an instant. Her family and friends that still live there are safe, but the idea of rebuilding seems daunting. If you find yourself wanting to help, we wanted to highlight three funds that are near and dear to Heather.

HELP THE JORDAN FAMILY
Carrie Jordan, Heather's friend since 2nd grade, and her husband, Pascha, were visiting Heather at the cidery when the fires broke out. Carrie's mom was babysitting their two daughters, Molly and Kinsley, and evacuated them along with their three cats. Carrie and Pash caught flights out the next day, only to find out when they got there that their home burned to the ground. PASADENA HUMANE SOCIETY
Since 1903, the Pasadena Humane Society is more than an animal shelter; they are a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Pasadena Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them, including rescue animals from the Eaton Fire. PASADENA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Pasadena Community Foundation has established the Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund to support immediate and pressing needs arising from local wildfires. Heather has family friends who are involved in programs, like the Altadena Mountain Rescue Team, who are supported by foundations like these.
